Summer at the Cape

On October 30, 2005, we formally celebrated Stephanie's birth with a ceremony (written by Leslie) at the Martha-Mary Chapel that was presented by Rabbi Press and Father Nick, who also married us ten years ago at the same location.

The Martha-Mary Chapel, located on the historic grounds of Longfellow's Wayside Inn.

Mark helping setup the sound system, so that Bach would greet our friends.

Maddie and Darci are getting ready for Jon's oh so serious speech :)

Leslie's thinking, "I hope I didn't forget Stephanie."

Father Nick and Rabbi Press welcome all of our guests,

And on with the ceremony...

Grandpa Mel, Grandma Roz and Grandma Ruth (off camera) say a few words to Stephanie.  Great Grandma Anne and Aunt Francine could not make the trip from Florida. Andrea, Uncle Jon and Uncle Robert rhyme a few words to Stephanie by reading Dr. Seus "Oh the places you will go."

Jon Klein and Karen Clinton ( who were the best man and maid of honor at our wedding)  comment on the adventures in parenting that await us! A lighting of candles - using the Unity Candle from our wedding, seven additional candles were lit representing what we hope will manifest in your life Stephanie: Kindness, Health, Family & Friends, Courage, Nature, Laughter and Love.

A blessing with wine - The wine cup was used at my Bar Mitzvah in 1978! A blessing with water - Guest starring Fred and George Elmquist.

Stephanie concludes the ceremony by baby talkin'

"I am so blessed to be here, with all my family and friends."
